Norman, Viv and Tracy (NVT) make a formidable team. Norman acts as a very adept conduit between the architects and the building team, ensuring clear prompt lines of communication so that that the building project runs on time. Viv is a brilliant project manager, earning the title ‘Superman’ on our build, for his ability to corral the men to do his bidding, and Tracy is never happier than when armed with a calculator, ensuring costs are kept within budget and discounts obtained from the relevant trades.
All the men on the building team, whether bricklayers, carpenters, plasterers or general builders, are the best in the field and, not only that, they were unfailingly courteous throughout. There was a very happy atmosphere on-site and a general willingness to always go the extra mile for us – nothing was ever too much trouble. The final result speaks for itself and anyone contemplating using NVT is welcome to come and see the high standard of workmanship that we are now lucky enough to enjoy.

I’m delighted to let you know that our house won the private category of the Wood Awards last week (Dec 2017).
Thank you very much for your valuable contribution to this success. In announcing the winner at the awards ceremony, held at Carpenters’ Hall in London, the judges said: “The interior decoration was very simple and well thought through. We were impressed by the design, the craftsmanship and the attention to detail. We were also shown the figures for the first year’s energy usage which were very impressive.”

We are currently nearing completion of our major refurbishment project and are delighted to have appointed NVT Construction Limited to be the main contractor. The project is being handled with great care and with particular attention to detail. Everything has been planned from start to finish. Having worked with other building companies previously it is really refreshing to see each element of the project scheduled and the work carried out to this plan. When the Winter Garden manufacturer who we (not NVT) appointed informed us that they would be four weeks late beyond their promised installation date, Norm took this in his stride without any fuss and rescheduled other work to eliminate the potential disruption to the overall project schedule. As a result the net overall negative effect caused by the late arrival of the Winter Garden is now minimal.
However, the best aspect of working with NVT is the people. It is a real pleasure working with Norm and Tracy and all of the guys on site. The site always has a very happy atmosphere and everyone is always willing to go the extra mile to get things how we would like them. The quality of their work is very high and when questions have come up they are raised in a timely and constructive way, and fully thought through solutions are presented, discussed and then implemented. Their interface with Third Party suppliers has been excellent as well.
We are very much looking forward to moving into what I’m sure is going to be an expertly reconstructed and great looking house put together by a fine team.
